Consider utilizing the shared kitchen for meal prep. It significantly enhances the experience and offers a chance to meet other guests.

Hotel Meigetsu resides in the Taito Neighborhood of East Tokyo. It is a 30 minute Metro ride from the center (Shibuya, Roppongi) etc. The staff cares about your stay and will answer any questions in English. Rooms are small but comfortable. The bed is quite cozy. You even get a small TV and a nightstand. I highly recommend this hotel for business and budget travelers who want to save on lodging and rather stay in a traditional part of Tokyo.
Staff closes the doors at 12am so you cannot stay out very late. Also, the kitchen was very small and lacking utensils.

Surprised in the best way!
Expect cozy, clean rooms and friendly staff who go out of their way to help. The communal kitchen and shared facilities make for a cute atmosphere. Each evening, unwind with the traditional Japanese bath-a true gem! Plus, with nearby convenience stores, you'll never go hungry. A unique, budget-friendly experience indeed!

Had good experience, overall charming little place.
The room was brand-new, had a nice bed. Truly enjoyed a clean bathroom. We were greeted by the very very helpful staff.

Very helpful staff and extremely friendly, clean. Overall good value for money. Though toilets and showers are shared, are always sparkingly clean. Highly recommended.
I would have liked to have a mirror in the room and perhaps a bit more substantial pillow (the one provided is a bit too tiny). However these are small things which I guess reflect the low accomodation fee.

Every member of the staff was service-minded and cooperative. Stunning and convenient location, it was close to a metro station. Plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like Torafugutei Minami Senju that was only 5 minutes' walk away.

I spent 6 nights in a cozy room that had a great atmosphere! The shared kitchen was super handy. I loved reserving the traditional bath after a day of exploring. Only issue was the room size, but honestly, it was all I needed!

Budget freindly. A good choice for city travelers. Located on a quiet neighbourhood.
The walls are very thin allowing all the noise from the other rooms to pass in.

Good overall experience. Overall clean and homey place, very helpful staff. Units with a bath. Location adjacent to metro stop Minami Senju, and a subway station. Again, not far from Barbican House: )

The staff was very helpful. The hotel was located at 1 hour and a half from Ueno Station by walk but three stations by subway. Three kombinis were around.
I've never slept in a such freezy place of my life. I was colder in the room than in other rooms of the hotel. The bed was so hard that my back hurt a lot. I don't even mention the pillow which certainly could be define as one but more like a rock. The walls were so not thick that I could hear beds moving, and people conversation. Really annoying. Tiny tv but it's not that disturbing. Tiny towels furnished.

It was at the price level of a hostel, yet I got to have my own room. I had all my stuff with me so having a locked area to keep it all as well as a place all to myself to relax was amazing. The area around the hotel is so charming and traditional, I really love little towns like that.
No elevator, which was somewhat difficult since my bag weighed 21 kg and there were no available rooms on the main floor.
